Who we are?
Coldwell Banker has
started in San Francisco since 1906. The brand has evolved into one of the
country’s leading real estate service providers serving all markets
nationwide.
In 1937,
Coldwell Banker
formed a residential real estate operation to become a full-service real
estate company.
Sears, Roebuck & Co. formed the Sears Financial Network and acquired
Coldwell Banker in 1981. The 1980s were a decade of tremendous growth for
the company as Coldwell Banker acquired several companies throughout the
United States.
In 1989, Sears, Roebuck & Co. sold the commercial side of Coldwell Banker to
a group presently known as CB Richard Ellis. As a result of the purchase,
the companies agreed to not-compete in major markets, and this agreement
expired in 1994.
In 1996, Coldwell Banker was acquired by HFS, Inc. (now Cendant Corporation,
NYSE: CD) and became part of the world's largest real estate franchise
organization.
In 1998, Cendant expanded the
Coldwell Banker Commercial brand under an
affiliate business model. The affiliate company quickly grew in secondary
and tertiary markets, and is concentrating expansion in major markets. The
brand development has resulted in
Coldwell
Banker Commercial being one of the top globally
recognized commercial real estate entities. The reputation of Coldwell Banker Commercial
affiliates stems from the system’s founding in San
Francisco, California. Coldwell Banker has grown to become the premier real
estate franchise organization in North America.
Coldwell Banker Corporation
provides its affiliates with the strongest support in the real estate
industry. It’s priding itself in having over 3,500 offices and over 106,000
Sales Associates worldwide.
Coldwell Banker decided to make Egypt its head quarters for Middle East. It
has opened the door for professional real estate business in the
territories. Mansour & El Maghraby for Investment and Development group are
the main shareholders for CBME. The group has a considerable contribution in
the biggest investment projects in Egypt.
The next natural step for CBME was to deliver Egypt’s success story to the
region around.
This step was achieved through different companies in the region. BILA
Corporation in Lebanon, Aquary Corporation owned by Al-Saedan Family in
Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and Alfardan Group in Qatar. The doors are still
opened for franchising in the rest of the Middle East.
How we manage our business differently?
Coldwell Banker Commercial
has a strong presence, not only in the local market,
but also in many markets. Our Commercial affiliates’ offices are
conveniently located and accessible to Clients. We
have branches in Egypt Maadi, Mohandessin, Dokki, Zamalek, Katameya,
